Judy Willoghby RE
Somerset Printmakers member Judy Willoughby is a painter and printmaker based in Somerset. She is a member of The Royal Society of Painter Printmakers and frequently exhibits her prints at The Bankside Gallery in London.
Her work is best described as semi figurative and based around her personal life and familiar landscape often containing an element of narrative.
Inspiration comes from story books, travel, photography and her home.
Judy trained as a painter at Birmingham School of Art followed by an Illustration course at the University West of England in Bristol. Over the past 25 years she has completed many commissions in the public and private sector both in England and abroad creating site specific art for buildings.
Also a teacher, Judy enjoys working as an artist in schools and teaching printmaking from her studio.
She enjoys the diversity of printmaking. Prefered techniques are monotype, etching and mixed media such as collagraph and carborundum.
